Why Practice Yoga At Home? Here's reason #1 (of 10)

There are so many reasons to practice yoga at home and I am on a mission to take a deep dive into several of them.  Let's start with one of the most important ones - in my opinion.

Nervous system regulation!

A regular yoga practice that includes movement, breath work,

meditation and other mindful practices

can help you shut down the alarm of your fight/flight/flee responses

by activating your rest/digest/chill ones.

Yes, we need our FFF responses to keep us safe, but we don’t need to have

the alarm constantly ringing all the time.

An at home yoga practice can help to strengthen your “calm” muscles and

help to balance both necessary

sides of the nervous system.

In addition, a regular yoga practice can leave you relaxed and refreshed at the same time!

It’s pretty magical.

The Yoga Of Education: The Magic of Montessori

On this week's podcast episode, I share an amazing interview with an outstanding Montessori educator.  We had a lovely discussion on the role of mindfulness in education.  Mindfulness can help direct teacher-student interactions and can have a positive effect on student outcomes.  Listen to this week's episode of the Yoga and Yum Podcast.
